To add, This Colt Detective Special chambered in .38 Special features, steel frame and barrel with a nickel finish, two inch barrel for concealment and a Pachmayr grip. The Detective special is in Great mechanical shape and lock up is tight on the cylinder. It has been re-nickeled and under the nickel finish there is very minor pitting. Locations of the pitting are on the left side frame above the trigger, two areas by cylinder notches, under the grip on the right side frame and front of the muzzle.

Finally, It is a classic-style, swing out cylinder, double action compact revolver with fixed blade front sight and notch-style rear sights and full lenght ejector rod. The cylinder rotates clockwise, unlike Smith & Wesson revolvers. The Detective Special models were also available in other calibers.
